Mountain West Champion Lobos Announces 2021-22 Schedule

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — After a historic 2020-21 season by The University of New Mexico women’s soccer team, head coach Heather Dyche and the Lobos have announced their upcoming 2021 schedule.

The fall slate features a total of 18 regular season matches and an additional two exhibition matchups. The Lobos will host nine home games in total.

The first two home matches for the Lobos will be exhibition games on August 16 versus Fort Lewis College and August 26 versus Adams State University.

Between the two exhibition games, the Lobos will take on UC Davis on August 19 and Dixie State on August 22 to kick off the regular season. Both matches will be played in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Lobos will then open up their regular-season home schedule with a two-game homestand starting on August 29 versus Oregon State. The team is then set to host the University of Washington on September 5.

The Lobos will then hit the road for three games, beginning with a matchup with Grand Canyon University on September 10. On September 12, the Lobos will play Northern Arizona University, and on September 16, the Lobos will head to Las Cruces to face New Mexico State.

The team will then start its conference season on September 24 at home versus Wyoming. The four other home conference games for the Lobos will be on October 1 versus Utah State, October 3 versus Boise State, October 22 versus Colorado College, and October 24 versus Air Force Academy.

Similarly, the Lobos will have five road conference games, starting with a matchup against Colorado State on September 26. The Lobos will then have four games on the road in a row, kicking off with a game versus Nevada on October 8. The Lobos will then face UNLV on October 10, San Jose State on October 14, and Fresno State on October 17.

The Lobos will close out the regular season with a match at San Diego State on October 29.
