Lobos in Top-25 of NCAA DI Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index

NEW ORLEANS, La. — After a strong outing at the Mountain West Conference Championships, The University of New Mexico women’s track and field team has been ranked 23rd in Week Eight of the NCAA Division I Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index that was released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday.

The women have tallied 87.73 points, moving up nine spots from 32nd last week. Charlotte Prouse brought in 25.83 points by placing first in the 10k at the MW Outdoor Championships, earning the MW Title. Prouse also earned 25.78 points for the Lobos after finishing the women’s 5k in 15:29.66 at the West Coast Relays.

Next up for the Lobos is the 2021 NCAA DI Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary Championships, tabbed to take place May 26-29 in College Station, Texas.
