ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.– The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team returns to the court for the first time in over two weeks as the Lobos take on Air Force in a two-game series starting Tuesday.

Tuesday’s game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. MT on the Mountain West Network.

In UNM’s last appearance on Feb. 5, the Lobos completed the sweep at San Diego State, holding the Aztecs to 48 points in both games and used the third quarter to take control of the games after trailing through the first 20 minutes of each game. In each game, the Lobos had four players reach double figures in scoring.

To date, UNM has five players averaging double figures in scoring with Jaedyn De La Cerda posting a team-high 14.2 points per game. De La Cerda also leads the Lobos in rebounds per game with a 6.0 average. Four of the five starters are averaging 10-plus ppg with the fifth starter, LaTora Duff, at 9.8 points per game, and off the bench, LaTascya Duff is second on the team with 13.2 points per game.

On the other side of the court, Air Force enters the series following a non-conference win over Colorado Christian, 59-32, on Feb. 19. In their last conference series, the Falcons were swept by Fresno State, 76-58 and 62-54.

Air Force enters the series 5-13 overall, 2-10 in the MW and are 3-5 this season at home.

Riley Snyder leads the team with 14.4 ppg, with Briana Autrey as the only other Falcon to also be in double figures at 12.8 ppg. Audrey Gadison is Air Force’s best three-point threat with 21 made threes on the year, shooting 41.2 percent from distance, while Snyder has taken the most attempts with 100 and has made 1.8 threes per game.

Autrey has been credited with a team-high 67 assists, an average of 4.1 per game, and leads the Falcons in steals with 48, averaging 2.8 per game. On the boards, Emily Conroe is the top rebounder with 130 total rebounds for an average of 7.6 per game, with Kassady Huffman also over 100 rebounds on the season at 102 for an average of 5.7 per game.
