Men's Basketball Season Opener Set for Sunday
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team has added a game to its 2020-21 schedule and it will serve as the long-awaited 2020-21 season opener. The Lobos will take on the Rice Owls in Houston, Texas on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 1 p.m. MT/2 p.m. CT.
Neither fans nor family members of players will be allowed into the arena, but the game will be available to watch live on CUSA.tv for a fee. Fans will also be able to follow the game via live stats.
In addition to Sunday’s competition, Rice University has agreed to allow the Lobos to play in its facility on Tuesday and Thursday if opponents for each day become available.
