Parkes is serving as the volunteer assistant for the spring 2015 men’s tennis season.
LOBO ATHLETE CAREER
Parkes played at UNM from 2005-2009. During his tenure with the Lobos, Parkes gathered several accolades and made many significant accomplishments including: posting the All-Time Career Singles record (97-42), posted the tenth most All-Time Career Doubles record (75-38), posted the sixth most single season singles wins (30), won the Mountain West Championship with the Lobos in 2008 and 2009, earned five MW Player of the Week awards giving him the more than any other Lobo tennis player, was named the ITA Freshman of the Year and the MW Freshman of the Year in 2006, named the MW Player of the Year and the ITA Senior Player of the Year in 2009, received the L.F. Tow Diem award in 2009, competed in the NCAA tournament in singles in 2009, was a four-time All-Conference honoree, and a four-time Academic All-Conference honoree.
