Haley LeBlanc joined the Lobo Family in April 2024 as UNM Spirit Coordinator & Head Coach.  She came to UNM after spending the prior three years as the head cheerleading coach at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

A 10-year coach with the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA), LeBlanc also spent the past three years teaching in the Belton ISD in Belton, Texas.  While at Mary Hardin-Baylor, LeBlanc’s teams competed at UCA College Nationals.  Along with serving as the head coach, LeBlanc also designed a strength and conditioning program for her teams.

She also instituted and implemented content on various social media channels for the cheer program.

In her work with UCA, which started in 2015, she has served as an instructor not just for cheer students, but for coaches in helping them implement proper stunting techniques, along with proper techniques for various drills while also developing various cheer skills.

“Becoming the new Spirit Coordinator and Head Coach of The University of New Mexico fills me with great enthusiasm,” said LeBlanc. “I’m excited for the opportunity to continue to build on what the spirit program already has established to what it can be in supporting all student-athletes at UNM and the community of Albuquerque. Thank you to Athletic Director Eddie Nunez, Madison Baumann and Ryan Berryman for entrusting me to lead the spirit program with passion and integrity. Go Lobos!

LeBlanc graduated from Texas State University in 2018 where she served as a Texas State cheerleader from 2013-18, including her final two years as captain.  She is USA Cheer certified as well as CPR, First Aid and AED certified.
