August 31 hosting Sam Houston State – 4 p.m.
- Childhood Cancer Awareness Game
We are teaming up with the Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico to raise awareness of childhood cancer. September is the official month for childhood cancer awareness. Pins will be given out for the game to all fans with a child’s name who has cancer. Additionally, there will be recognition of local children that are or have been fighting the courageous fight on the field.
- Albuquerque Day
What better way to open the season than by celebrating everything great about the 505! Join us as we debut the all-new Howl Zone complete with new food areas and live music. Fans can also help celebrate with Jeff Siembieda, J.J. Buck and the rest of the 610 AM/95.5 FM Crew as they celebrate the 25th birthday of “The Sports Animal” with a massive tailgate that is sure to be a blast!
- Youth Sports Day
Every Lobo on the field got their start in youth sports, so for the opener, we are celebrating with Youth Sports Day! All kids who wear a sports jersey (any sport, any team … well, even those guys) will get $5 off their tickets at the door.
September 21 hosting New Mexico State – 2:30 p.m.
- Nike N7 Native American Heritage Day
As the Lobos host in-state rival New Mexico State, we celebrate the state’s American Indian Heritage.
- Rio Grande Rivalry & Red Rally
The rivalry returns to Albuquerque! Don’t miss all the action as UNM looks to make it six out of eight against the Aggies. To get ready for the game, hit up Red Rally on Thursday night at Johnson Field when the team hosts a university sponsored pep rally with music, the Lobo Band, and the traditional lighting of the Aggie! Come watching it burn is a hot way to start rivalry weekend.
October 11 hosting Colorado State – 6 p.m.
- Educator’s Night (Extra Yard for Teachers)
Our educators take center stage for this Friday night battle with the Rams of Colorado State. All educators have a chance to purchase discount tickets. Additionally, teachers and schools can apply for a chance to win grants for their schools and be recognized on the field.
It should make for a great Friday night nationally televised game as we celebrate New Mexico’s educators!
October 26 hosting Hawai’i – 2 p.m.
Welcome back to the Duke City Lobo fans, as we are going to “Paint the Town Cherry”! It is Homecoming Week as UNM hosts the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors! Campus will be brimming with events all week. - Hispanic Heritage Day
New Mexico is ripe with Hispanic culture, and what better weekend to celebrate all that makes New Mexico great than with our returning alumni!
- Faculty & Staff Day
One of the great things about Homecoming is the chance for alums to come back and celebrate with their favorite faculty and staff members, so UNM Athletics will honor them as well! Faculty and staff will be able to get discounted tickets for themselves and their families. Additionally, faculty and staff are invited to an exclusive tailgate prior to the game in the Lobo Zone. We will also be recognizing various faculty and staff members during the game.
- Family Week
For Homecoming, many students have family that come to campus … well bring them to the football game! All students for this game can purchase extra tickets for family to sit in the student section for just $9 each.
November 9 hosting Air Force – Noon
- Heroes Day
It is always an honor to recognize the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, and those who serve as First Responders. Don’t miss the display of military might, including helicopters, police cruisers, fire trucks and more in a fully immersive and interactive exhibit in the Howl Zone. In addition a full military band will take the stage for a pregame show in the Howl Zone. We will swear in new recruits for the Armed Forces at halftime before a special military-themes halftime show. Additionally, military members will receive discounted tickets at the door.
November 30 hosting Utah State – 2 p.m.
- Fan Appreciation Day
We love our fans, and it’s our chance to give back as we will have raffles and drawings throughout the game for prizes.
- Take a Kid to the Game Day
A day game in November is the perfect opportunity to take a kid to a game, so we are making it easy! With every adult ticket purchased, you can get a youth ticket for just half price. It’s a Thanksgiving Miracle, and the perfect Black Friday gift for a Lobo fan!
