PREVIOUS COACHING STOPS

IDAHO (2022-24): Booth spent three years on Coach Jason Eck’s staff at Idaho as coach of the offensive line.

With Booth’s offensive line leading the way, Idaho’s total offense numbers increased in his first season moving up over 70 yards.

The 2024 squad averaged 159.9 yards on the ground and Idaho averaged 27.9 points per game.  Two of his charges earned All-Big Sky honors with Ayden Knapik making the first team and Nate Azzopardi earning honorable mention honors.

His 2023 offensive line paved the way for a record-breaking offense that saw five players earn All-Mountain West honors including Knapik making the honorable mention squad.

In his first season in 2022, three linemen were honored by the Big Sky with Logan Floyd earned Third-Team accolades and both Knapik and Beau St. John being named honorable mention. The Vandals averaged 170.7 yards on the ground and 432.7 overall, scoring 45.9 points per game.  The Vandals were deadly in close, ranking fifth in red zone offense.

COLORADO STATE (2020-21): Booth served as the tight ends coach with Colorado State were he worked with Trey McBride, who was named a unanimous All-American and was the winner of the 2021 Mackey Award as the nation’s best tight end.

In 2020, McBride was First Team All-Mountain West, leading Colorado State in receptions, yards and touchdown catches, but his 2021 was one for the books. In his award winning season, McBride flourished with Booth as his coach, catching 90 passes for 1,121 yards, setting a Mountain West record for yards by a tight end, and it was the fifth-most yards by a tight end in FBS history.  He also had six 100-yard receiving games on the season.

It wasn’t just McBride as Booth’s tight end Gary Williams finished fourth on the team in receptions as well.

BOSTON COLLEGE (2019): Spent one season on Chestnut Hill as an offensive graduate assistant helping with the offensive line coaching Zion Johnson to All-ACC honors.

TEMPLE (2017-18): Booth got his professional coaching career started as a graduate assistant with the offense at Temple University. The Owls qualified for a pair of bowl games in his time there, and he coach Remington Award finalist Matt Hennessy, who went on to earn Third Team All-America in 2019 and was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft.

PLAYING CAREER – TEMPLE (2010-13); CHICAGO BEARS (NFL, 2014); JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (NFL, 2014-15); WASHINGTON REDSKINS (2016). Played four years at Temple, the first three as a tight end before moving to tackle.  After just one season there he forged out a three-year NFL career with Chicago, Jacksonville and Washington before returning to Temple as a graduate assistant.
