New Mexico: Graduate transfer who was a starter at Kansas State prior to his season ending injury … immediate gives the Lobos a playmaker and added depth in the defensive backfield … amturity and expirience in the Big 12 should pay dividends.

Kansas State:  Played two seasons for the Wildcats, playing in six games in his first season and four in his second, having both end in injuries … was a starter in 2014 before his injury, recording 18 tackles, two interceptions and two passes defensed … also had a tackle for a loss … recorded a career-high eight tackles against UTEP … had his best game statistically with two picks and two PDs against Texas Tech, returning one interception 21 yards to set up a touchdown … in his first season with Kansas State he recorded three tackles but also forced a fumble against Texas.

Junior College: Played outside linebacker and strong safety for Iowa Western CC as a redshirt freshman in 2012, helping the Reivers win a NCJAA National Championship… Named to the All-Midwest Conference first team as a defensive back… Earned back-to-back player of the week honors for his performances against North Dakota SCS and Ellsworth CC… Recorded 62 tackles, including seven tackles for loss… Also tallied one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and five interceptions, two of which he returned for scores… Teammates with current Wildcat quarterback Jake Waters.

High School: A three-year letterwinner for Omaha North under head coach Larry Martin… Led the Vikings to district titles in 2008 and 2009… An all-state, all-district and all-metro performer as a senior in 2010… Tallied over 100 tackles and 10 interceptions during his final two prep seasons.

Personal: Travis Dion Green was born August 15, 1993, in Omaha, Neb… Son of Troy Tyler and Roxanne Green… Has three siblings… getting his Master’s in sports administration.
