Jackson Epes returns to the program after playing in 2024, serving as an assistant coach.
Epes played for the Lobos in 2024 as a tight end and then as an edge rusher. He previously played two seasons at Valdosta State and also two seasons at Austin College.
In his capacity as an assistant coach, Epes will help with all manner of practice planning, practice setup, and recruiting. He will also help in various capacities, depending on the position groups he works with.
He is also working with data analytics and game prep.
Epes earned his degree from Valdosta State in 2024 and a master’s degree from New Mexico in 2025.
