2022 (Freshman Season): Ellis proved his mettle and toughness, bouncing back from a preseason shoulder injury that would have sidelined most for the year, and he returned to play in seven games … opened his career mostly on special teams but eventually saw time at safety, recording three tackles … had a pair of tackles against San Diego State … also had a tackle against Utah State.
