Dusty Bennett

Dusty Bennett joined The University of New Mexico as Director of Football Operations in August, 2019.  In his position he oversees the day-to-day operations of the football program including matters related to budgeting, fundraising, facilities and game scheduling.  He serves as the liaison between the program and many campus constituents including academics and compliance.  Bennett also aids in practice planning and the management of all office personnel.  He works closely with the athletic communications office on publicity for head coach Bob Davie and the assistant coaching staff.

Prior to New Mexico, Bennett was at The Mount Vernon School in Atlanta, Ga., where he served in multiple capacities within the athletic department and school administration.

Bennett was the Director of Football Operations at Georgia State University during the schools inaugural bowl appearance (Cure Bowl) in 2015.

In 2013-14, he worked at the International Center for Sport Management while he began work on his Ph.D. at the University of Georgia.

Bennett was a member of the Georgia State athletics staff from 2009-13 in Student-Athlete Development, working primarily with the football program. He also served as a graduate assistant in the athletic department in 2008-09, coordinating life skills programs.

Bennett was a four-year member of the Georgia State University baseball team from 2005-08. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Georgia State in May 2008, he went on to complete his master’s in sport administration from Georgia State in 2009.

A native of Tyrone, Ga. He and his wife, Reanna, have four children, Dustin (9), Carson (6), Blake (2), and a newborn, Emerson.
