2016 (Redshirt Junior Season): Saw action in eight games with five starts … registered 25 tackles with 0.5 tackles for loss … two passes broken up and an interception … that interception came on the third play of the game against ULM, and he returned it 40 yards for his first career touchdown … had a season-best five tackles in that game as well … had a solid game against Nevada with two passes broken up and two tackles … registered a season-high-tying five tackles against Wyoming … had four tackles against both Air Force and Hawai’i … that Air Force game was his first game back after missing four with a turf toe injury.
2015 (Junior Season): Redshirted.
2014 (Sophomore Season): Played in all 12 games, starting six of the first seven … recorded 34 tackles, and 25 of those were solo … also record 2.5 TFLs (6 yards) with two passes broken up … twice set career-highs with six tackles, first in the opener against UTEP and then again against Colorado State … had five tackles, one for a loss, in a win over New Mexico State … broke up passes against UTSA and Air Force … only tackle against San Diego State was for a five-yard loss.
2013 (Freshman Season): Played in all 12 games on special teams and became a bigger part of the defensive rotation as the year went on … finished with eight tackles on the season … career high three solo tackles against New Mexico State … had highs of three total tackles vs. the Aggies and vs. Fresno State (one solo, two assists).
High School: A three-year starter, 2012 honorable mention All-State and first-team All-Central Texas honoree for the Panthers and coach Jerry Vance … recorded 31 tackles (25 solos), two tackles for loss, five interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and four pass breakups as a senior … also had 23 carries for 331 yards and four TDs on offense, 17 kick returns for 673 yards (an average of 39.6 yards per return and four TDs), 12 punt returns for 151 yards (12.6 yards per return) and one TD … played kicker with 17 extra points and one field goal … earned first-team All-District 8-3A honors as a defensive back and as a special teams performer… also earned first-team All-District honors on defense and special teams as a junior in 2011 … finished with 32 tackles (22 solos), two tackles for loss, two interceptions and six pass breakups … kicked 32 PATs and three field goals, had seven kickoff returns for 248 yards (a 35.4-yard average) and two TDs and two punt returns for 43 yards (a 21.5-yard average) on special teams … earned second-team All-District defensive honors as a sophomore in 2010 … collected 29 tackles (23 solos) with three interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and six pass breakups … also competed in track and field for Liberty Hill … finished third in the Texas State 3A championship meet in the triple jump as a junior with a 47-1 mark … finished second in regionals in the triple jump and was district champion and regional qualifier in both the long jump and triple jump as a junior … qualified for regionals in the triple jump as a sophomore … holds the record at Liberty Hill in the long jump with a mark of 22.2 feet … also holds the school record in the 100 meters with a time of 10.52 seconds … a first-team All-District 8-3A center fielder in baseball in 2011 … currently a starter for the No. 13-ranked boys basketball team, averaging five steals per game.
