New Mexico:  Junior College transfer who saw action in the second half of his first season with UNM in 2014 … saw lots of action in Spring Camp … moved to offense early in the season, and then saw action as well on defense … moved back to defense in Spring Camp 2016 … a 2014 Mountain West All-Academic selection … a 2014-15 Lobo Scholar-Athlete.

2015 (Junior Season): Played in three games, two on offense at guard, and one on defense … played offense against Mississippi Valley State and Arizona State …  had five knockdowns against Mississippi Valley State … played defense against San Jose State due to injuries along the line. 

2014 (Sophomore Season): Played in six games for the Lobos this season, and recorded six total tackles … also recorded a tackle for loss against Boise State … had a pair of tackles against Colorado State and Wyoming.

Junior College: Played one year at College of DuPage, amassing 28 tackles, six tackles for loss and one sack … DuPage went 7-4 in 2013, advancing to the Carrier Dome Bowl in Syracuse, N.Y. … signed with Akron after the 2011 season … current UNM defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove was the Zips’ defensive coordinator at that time.

High School: Played three varsity seasons for coach Dave Mattio at Marion Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Ill. … Finished with 16 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks at defensive tackle in 2011 … the Marion Catholic defense held opponents to 318.8 yards of offense per game … played offensive guard his first two seasons with the Spartans … Marion Catholic averaged 233.8 rushing yards per game in 2010, went 7-3 and advanced to the Illinois Class 7A playoffs … helped the offense average 203 rushing yards per game as a sophomore in 2009 … Marian went 7-4 and advanced to the second round of the 7A playoffs.
