2015 Indoors: Competed at six meets in the short sprints, including the NCAA Championships … Opened the season with a winning time of 6.83* in the 60-meter dash at the Air Force Open … Ran 6.80* to placed third at the Lobo Open … Tied the New Mexico record in the 60 at the New Mexico Team Invitational, runnin 6.69* … Also ran 21.72* in the 200 at the New Mexico Team Invite … Broke both schools records in the 60 and 200, running 6.67* in the 60 and 21.43* in the 200 … Won the 60 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, setting a new UNM and MW record with his time of 6.62* seconds … Also placed sixth in the 200 at the MW Championships, running 21.45* … Became the first athlete in New Mexico history to make the indoor national championships in any short sprint event (60/200) … Placed 14th at the NCAAS, running 6.77
2015 Outdoors: Ran at seven meets … Opened at the Baldy Castillo Invitational, running 10.67 in the 100 and helping the Lobos 4×100 to third … Won the 100 at the New Mexico Quadrangular, finishing in 10.81* … Placed fifth in the 100 at the Triton Invitational (10.89) and fourth at the UTEP Twilight (10.68*) … Scored in both short sprints at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, running to fifth in the 100 (10.64) and eighth in the 200 (22.35) … Also scored in the 4×100 at the MW meet with a runner-up finish … Qualified to the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the 4×100, placing 17th overall as the relay finished in 40.45
2014 Indoors: Saw action at seven meets for the Lobos, including the USATF Championships … Opened with a second-place finish in the 60 meters at the Lobo Collegiate Invitational, finishing in 6.70* seconds … Ran to a fifth-place time of 6.75* in the 60 and a 10th-place time of 21.74* in the 200 at the New Mexico Team Invitational … Took seventh in the 60 at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational, finishing in 6.76* … Qualified to the USATF Indoor Championships, placing 21st against the nation’s best with a time of 6.84 … Tallied fourth-place finishes in both sprints at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, finishing the 60 in 6.82* and the 200 in 21.90*.
2014 Outdoors: Raced at seven meets for New Mexico … Started the season with a 10th-place finish of 10.90 seconds in the 100 meters at the Jim Click Shootout … Earned runner-up honors in the 100 at the Beach Invitational, finishing in 10.69 … Placed fifth in the 200 at the Brutus Hamilton Open with a time of 22.18 … Nabbed a season-best time of 10.60* in the 60 at the Don Kirby Tailwind Invitational, winning the event at the process … Also ran with the Lobos’ 4×100 relay team, helping the squad to sixth at the Beach Invitational, fourth at the Brutus Hamilton Challenge and third at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships.
2013 Indoors: Ran at five meets, emerging as a force in the 60-meter dash … Opened at the Lumberjack Team Challenge with a 6.88* time in the 60, placing fourth … Also placed 12th in the 200 (22.87*) at the LTC … Earned seventh in the 60 (6.91*) and ninth in the 200 (22.19*) at the Cherry & Silver Invitational … Clocked stellar times in the 60 at back-to-back meets, running a 6.88* at the New Mexico Classic to place fourth and then a season best 6.82* at the Don Kirby Elite to place seventh … Claimed runner-up honors in the 60 at the Mountain West Championships, placing second with 6.87 clocking.
2013 Outdoors: Due to spring football, only competed at the Mountain West Championships, where he placed fifth in the 100 with a time of 11 seconds even.
HIGH SCHOOL
Competed in track and football at DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas … Won the 100 at the Region 2-5A Meet with a 10.54 time and placed second at the District 11-5A Meet with a personal-best 10.36 time … Ran a 10.57 in the 100 atUIL Track and Field Championship, placing fifth … Broke the Lancaster, Texas, city record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.42 seconds … Also ran with DeSoto’s sprint relay teams, were they won every single 4×100 and all but one 4×200 his senior yeear, including victories at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (4×100 and 4×200) and the UIL Track and Field Championship (4×100) … As a football player, Jones was one of several Division I prospects from DeSoto High School … Was an 11-5A first-team All-District performer his senior year when he racked up23 receptions for 397 yards and four TDs.

Full name is Ridge Wayne Jones … Parents are Simone and Roderick Jones … Has one brother, Rod, an one sister, Cynthia … Dad played football at Southern Methodist and in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
