NEW MEXICO: A junior college transfer from Cerritos (Calif.) College who was able to redshirt in 2012 and give the defensive line some needed experience in 2013 … …coaches are counting on him to play an important role in the three-man front in 2013 … leadership skills will be a factor as well … can play at end or tackle.

2013 (SENIOR): Started all 12 games and made 38 tackles (13 solo, 25 assist) … finished with one forced fumble and batted down three passes at the line of scrimmage … notched one and a half sacks and three tackles for a loss … recorded his 1.5 sacks in the season opener vs. UTSA on Aug. 31 … finished with a career-high seven tackles and blocked an extra point vs. Air Force on Nov. 8 … against Colorado State on Nov. 16 he recorded two solo tackles, including one for a loss, and forced a fumble … totaled four tackles against Fresno State on Nov. 23 … made 22 appearances in his career and finished with 48 total tackles.

2012: Redshirted. Named Lobo Most Valuable Defensive Scout.

2011 (JUNIOR): Played 10 games as a reserve defensive tackle…missed two games with a sprained knee…finished with nine tackles on the season.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Spent two years (2009-10) at Cerritos (Calif.) College for coach Frank Mazota…finished with 38 tackles in 12 games during the 2010 season…had six tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks and four quarterback hurries…made 17 tackles, seven solo, with 1.5 tackles for loss his freshman season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Bellflower HS in Bellflower, Calif…for coach Mike Brown…earned Defensive Player of the Year honors his senior year…had 55 sacks, four sacks and four fumble recoveries…All-Suburban League as a senior…also played basketball and volleyball.
