2014 (Junior Season): Played in 12 games, starting three … was the only player on the roster to throw a touchdown, run for a touchdown, and catch a touchdown pass … rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries … had four catches for 91 yards and a touchdown … returned eight kickoffs for 142 yards, a 17.8-yard average … threw one pass, going for an 18-yard touchdown against New Mexico State … is also a terrific special teams player with six tackles … forced a fumble on a kickoff against UNLV … had a season-high 27 yards rushing with a touchdown against Utah State … had 26 yards rushing against San Diego State with a long of 31 yards … caught a 36-yard touchdown pass against Fresno State … had a season-long catch of 41 yards, outleaping a taller defender for the ball, at UTSA.

2013 (Sophomore Season): Played in all 12 games, contributing on both offense and special teams … an integral part of the UNM running game that finished fourth in the nation with an average of 308.8 rushing yards per game. … finished with 11 carries for 103 yards on offense and had a career-long 51-yard run against New Mexico State …. his 54 yards rushing on two carries against the Aggies was a season-best. … served as the New Mexico Man during the Rio Grande Rivalry game against NMSU … also returned 11 kickoffs for a 15.5-yard average with a long of 28 yards.

2012 (Freshman Season): Played in all 13 games, making two starts when the Lobos opened in a two-backfield set … rushed 13 times for 71 yards and added a one reception for six yards on the season … the best game of his career came in the season opener against Southern when he rushed for 65 yards on just seven carrries and had a career-long 32-yard run … also a big contributor on special teams … returned seven kicks for an average of 23.1 yards per game, including a career-long 32-yarder … served as the New Mexico Man during UNM’s games at New Mexico State on Sept. 22 and at home vs. Boise State on Sept. 29.

High School: Finished his Goddard High School (Roswell, N .M.) career as the second-leading rusher in New Mexico high school history, amassing 5,733 yards with 70 touchdowns, ,,, Rushed for more than 2,000 yards each during his junior (2,332 yards, 30 TDs) and senior (2,269 yards, 32 TDs) seasons. … A member of the four-time District 4-4A football champion Goddard Rockets and coach Sam Jernigan … the Rockets also won state championships in 2008 and 2009, finished as runner-up in 2011 and advanced to the semifinals in 2010 … also wrestled at Goddard, winning the 182-pound state championship as a senior in 2012. He became the first wrestler at Goddard to place at the state championship meet in each of his four seasons. He was fourth in 2009, third in 2010 and second in 2011.

Personal: Majoring in liberal arts … parents are Lynda and Raymond Anaya … has five brothers (three older and two younger) … an older brother, Desmond, was a senior defensive lineman at New Mexico State in 2012 … the two brothers played against each other when the Lobos visited the Aggies on Sept. 22, 2012.
