2013 (SENIOR):Named one of four team captains by his teammates … was named to the College Football Performance Awards watch list … Bloguin.com placed him on its preseason All-Mountain West first team, while he earned third team honors by College Sports Madness, Athlon Sports, and Phil Steele … finished his career 20th all time in tackles at UNM with 290 … started all 12 games and finished his career by starting 29 in a row … set a new career high by recording 94 total tackles, including 57 solo stops, to earn honorable mention All-Mountain West honors … totaled five tackles for a loss, including half a sack, and one interception … tied or led the team in tackles in four games, including a career-high mark of 16 tackles at San Diego State on Nov. 2 … finished with a team-high six tackles and also intercepted a pass at Pitt on Sept. 14 … made 10 tackles and broke up a pass against Colorado State on Nov. 16 … at Wyoming on Oct. 12 he finished with a team-high nine tackles, including one for a seven-yard loss at the 1-yard line … won the Colonel H.J. Golightly Defensive Most Valuable Player Award as voted by his teammates following the season … appeared in 47 games, including 34 starts, in his Lobo career.

2012 (JUNIOR): Started all 13 games as an inside linebacker and also played special teams as well … led the Lobos with 89 tackles and earned All-Mountain West honorable mention honors … a solid effort in the 2012 season-finale at Colorado State with six tackles, one tackle for loss and a 35-yard interception return that set up UNM’s first score of the game … had a tremendous game vs. Nevada on Nov. 17 — nine tackles (six solo, three assists), with 1.5 tackles for loss … he also intercepted his second pass of the season late in the fourth quarter, returning it 37 yards … led the Lobos with seven total tackles (four solo, three assist) against Wyoming on Nov. 10 … recorded his first career sack that helped stop a Cowboy drive late in the second quarter … tied for the team lead with nine total tackles (four solo, five assist) against Air Force on Oct. 20 … recovered his second fumble of the season on the Falcons’ opening drive of the third quarter … played a great all-around game against Hawai’i on Oct. 13, recording seven tackles (four solo, three assist), forcing a fumble, and breaking up a pass … had a fantastic game against Texas State on Oct. 6 as he finished second on the team with five solo tackles (six total), including one for a loss … also forced his first fumble of the season and intercepted the first pass of his career, returning it 22 yards late in the fourth quarter against the Bobcats … recovered his first fumble of the season against No. 24 Boise State on Sept. 29 … the fumble recovery came on the opening kickoff of the second half against the Broncos and led to the first Lobo touchdown of the game … finished with five total tackles (three solo, two assist) against Boise … tied for the team lead with seven tackles against New Mexico State on Sept. 22 … also recorded his second pass breakup of the season against NMSU … had a career day against Texas Tech as he finished with a career-best 14 tackles, including 13 solos and two tackles for loss … was all over the field Sept. 8 vs.. Texas, recording four solo tackles and assisting on three others … recorded his first pass breakup of the season against the Longhorns as well.

2011 (SOPHOMORE): Third on the team in tackles with 68 in just 10 games … also broke up two passes and forced a fumble … recorded seven or more tackles in six games … his debut as a starter produced a season-high 13 tackles in the season opener against Colorado State … had nine tackles in season finale against No. 8 Boise State…finished with eight tackles against No. 13 Arkansas and Texas Tech, assisting on a tackle for loss in each game … seven tackles in games at Wyoming and San Diego State.

2010 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN):Finished his first season with 39 tackles while playing in all 12 games … had a then-career-high 11 tackles at Air Force … recorded a forced fumble against UTEP on Oct. 2 … had at least one tackle in 10 of 12 games … primarily used as a backup linebacker and on special teams.

HIGH SCHOOL:Three-year starter at linebacker for the Artesia Bulldogs … state Defensive Player of the Year by PrepNewMexico.com in 2008 … all-district and all-state honoree all three years at Artesia … 189 tackles as a senior and 507 in his prep career … team MVP his senior season … led the state with 177 tackles as a junior … 2006 and 2007 Meacham Tackle recipient, an award given to the defensive player who logs the most tackles in a season … played for legendary head coach Cooper Henderson … Artesia won state titles in 2006 and `07 … also a two-year lettermen in basketball … member of National Honor Society, Lions Club and A-Club, and active in church youth group.

PERSONAL:Born July 10, 1990, in Riverside, Calif … son of Darryl and Colleen … graduated in May of 2013 with a degree in Business Administration, with a grade point average above 3.0.
