2019 (Freshman Season – San Diego State): Played in three games on the season on special teams, earning a redshirt … made his collegiate debut on special teams in the opener vs. Weber State … played in the next two games in road games at UCLA and New Mexico State.
HIGH SCHOOL: A multiple all-region selection at Greater Christian High School in Norcross, Ga., including the defensive MVP of the region in 2018 … over this three years, he led the Spartans to a 34-7 overall record, including an 18-0 mark in league play with three straight conference titles … starred on both sides of the ball, catching 42 passes for 473 yards (11.3 avg.) and 11 touchdowns (according to MaxPreps) over this three seasons as a tight end, while recording 125 tackles and nine sacks as a defensive end … a consensus three-star recruit by Rivals, 247sports and ESPN … received a grade of 82 by 247sports and 77 by ESPN … ESPN had him as the 22nd-best tight end in the 2019 signing class.
