UAB:  Lettered for three years and redshirted one at UAB, all under OC Bryant Vincent … overall he played in 32 games, going 318-for-508 for 4,472 yards with 31 touchdowns and 16 interceptions, with a long of 75 yards … in 2022, leading UAB to a 7-6 season and a win in the Bahamas Bowl, Hopkins was 136-for-215 (63.3%) with 1,913 yards and 10 TDs … also added 352 career rushing yards and eight rushing TDs, including a 78 yarder in 2019 and a 61-yarder in 2022.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Lettered in football Maryville High School where he was the consensus No. 2 prep QB in Tennessee out of high school … won a state title in 2017, and was the runner-up for Mr. Football in Tennessee as a senior.
