ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The University of New Mexico men’s tennis team is hosting the 2015 UTSA/ITA Regional Championships at Linda Estes Tennis Center and McKinnon Family Tennis Center.
The duo of Hayden Sabatka and Bart Van Leijsen are seeded No. 1 in doubles play. Their teammates Jorge Escutia and Augustus Ge are seeded ninth and both teams have a bye in the first round.
Hayden Sabatka, Bart Van Leijsen and Jorge Escutia are all seeded in singles play. They received a ranking of 3, 9 and 19 respectively. All three have a bye the first round of singles play.
The times that the Lobos play are as follows for day one:
9:00am – Tran/ Baklini vs Handel/ Schumann (NAU)
11:30am – Baklini vs Canales (BYU)
12:00pm – Ricky Hernandez-Tong vs Soltyka (Montana)
12:30pm – Jorge Escutia vs Kovacs (Idaho)
1:00pm – Michael Tran vs Maier (USU)
1:00pm – Augie Ge vs Enrique Asmar (NMSU)
1:30pm – Bart Van Leijsen vs Handel (NAU)
3:30pm – Sean Baklini vs Cowley (Utah)
4:00pm – Hayden Sabatka vs Shin/Zilberstein
4:00pm – Ricky H-T vs Goldberg (NMSU)

This prestigious tournament will start tomorrow and run through the weekend. The Lobos are hosting eleven other schools including Northern Arizona University, New Mexico State and Denver University.
