Prior to UNM
Augustus Ge is a four-star recruit who comes to UNM with a wealth of tennis experience and an impressive pre-collegiate tennis résumé with several USTA accomplishments in both singles and doubles play. Ge’s accolades and achievements include: a 14’s USTA Copper Bowl Singles Championship title, a 14’s USTA Winter Nationals Doubles Championship title, he was a 16’s USTA International Spring Doubles Championship finalist, an 18’s USTA Southwest Junior Closed Singles Championship title, an 18’s National Selection L2 Doubles Championship title, and he was also an 18’s USTA Regional L3 Singles finalist. Additionally, Ge was ranked as high as No. 1 in the USTA Boy’s 18 Southwest rankings and reached top-40 in national rankings.
Ge also excelled greatly in academics, as he was a member of the Arizona Connections Academy honor roll, tallied an impressive score of 800 on the math portion of the SAT and also scored an 800 on the math subject SAT Level 2 test.
Personal
Ge is a Phoenix, Arizona native who graduated from the Arizona Connections Academy in 2014. He is the son of Xiaolin and Nan Ge and older brother to Kara Ge. When he’s not playing tennis, Ge enjoys hanging out with his friends, being active, listening to music, watching TV, eating, and spending time with his family.
