The University of New Mexico has played in 12Bowl games over the program’s history, going 3-8-1. The heyday for Bowl appearances came from an 11-season span from 1997-2007, when UNM made it to six Bowls in an 11-season span. Even better, UNM qualified for three straight from 2002-04, and five in a six-year span from 2002-07. The Lobos picked up a win in 2007, a 23-0 whitewashing of Nevada in the 2007 New Mexico Bowl. UNM’s last Bowl appearance was in 2015 when the Lobo played the Arizona Wildcats in the opening bowl game of the season, the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
