
Caleb Heim
Caleb Heim joined the Lobo family in December of 2014 as one of the first hires for Jason Eck. He previous worked with Eck for the previous three seasons at the University of Idaho.
PREVIOUS COACHING STOPS
IDAHO (2022-24): Heim spent three seasons at the University of Idaho overseeing the entire strength and conditioning program for the Vandals. Heim worked closely with the athletic training staff and the nutrition staff at Idaho, and he brought new technologies such as Perch, a 3-D camera technology used to optimize performance with velocity-based training.
SOUTH DAKOTA (2018-21): Heim worked at the University of South Dakota for four years as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. With the Coyotes he worked with football, women’s basketball and softball. South Dakota qualified and made it to the FCS playoffs in all four of his seasons. The women’s basketball team won three conference titles and going 59-4 in conference play. The squad went to the NCAA Tournament all four seasons including a run to the 2022 Sweet 16. In 2019-20, the team got as high as No. 11 in the national poll.
NEBRASKA (2016-17): For two seasons Heim was a graduate assistant for the Nebraska football team and working under Mike Riley, including a trip to the 2016 Music City Bowl as the Cornhuskers rose as high as No. 7 in the National Polls.
SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE (2014-15): Heim spent two seasons at his alma mater Southwest Minnesota State the first as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant before becoming the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
PLAYING CAREER – SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE (2010-12): Heim played for three seasons at Southwest Minnesota State before moving into a student coaching role in 2013. That led to a promotion to graduate assistant and then moving into the strength program.
