2016 Indoor: Saw action at four meets … posted a runner-up time of 1:51.61* in the 800-meter run at the New Mexico Classic, earning Mountain West Track Athlete of the Week honors for his effort … placed eighth in the mile at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational, running 4:04.67* … scored in the 800 at the Mountain West Championships, finishing in eighth place.
2016 Outdoor: Competed at five meets … opened with a second-place time of 1:51.45* in the 800 at the Don Kirby Tailwind Invitational … clocked a season-best time of 3:44.02 in the 1,500 at the Bryan Clay Invitational … scored in the 800 and the 1,500 at the Mountain West Championships, placing third in the 800 (1:50.92) and seventh in the 1500 (3:54.08) … advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the 1,500, placing 18th with a time of 3:45.23.
PREVIOUS SCHOOL (HARVARD)
2013-14: Placed third in the 4,000m distance medley with a time of 9:51.95 at the Penn Relays … finished 11th overall in the 1,500m run with a time of 3:45.88 at the Larry Ellis Invitational.
2012-13: Came in second in the 3,000 in Harvard vs. Yale match … came in third in the 1,500 with a time of 3:48:56 at the Ivy League outdoor track and field championship.
2011-12: Member of the winning distance medley relay team at the Battle of Beantown with a finishing time of 10:06.01.

Cross country and track and field team member and captain every year at Stafford Grammar … ISA national cross country champion in 2004 and cross country midland champion from 2004-08 … national champion and national record holder in the 800-meter run in 2008 … placed second in the 800 at the English Schools National Meet and UK School Games in 2008 … world youth semifinalist in the 800 and U20 national indoor champion in 2009 … in 2010, was a semifinalist at world juniors and placed second at the national indoor and outdoor meets in the 800.

Top 100 nationally in 5 Decade Chemistry Challenge … received gold, silver and bronze Duke of Edinburgh awards between 2005-10 … parents, Mary (1,500) and David (race walk) Cotton, were both nationally competitive track and field athletes … uncle, Ian Stewart, competed in the Olympics in the 5,000 and uncle, Peter Stewart, was a European indoor champion in the 3,000.
