Lobos Sweep Steeplechase Finals With New Meet Records on Day 2 at MW OTF Championships
CLOVIS, Calif. — Mathew Kosgei and Pamela Kosgei both took home steeplechase gold with new meet records to close out Day Two at Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships for New Mexico Track & Field, with the Lobo men fourth in the team standings with 38 points and the women in third with 43 points heading into tomorrow’s final day of competition.
In Friday’s prelims, 18 Lobos advanced to Saturday’s Finals to put the Lobos in contention for a conference title with 13 events still left to score.
