2025-26

Cross Country (Junior): NCAA CHAMPION ... Completed the season with victories at the Cowboy Jamboree, Nuttycombe Invitational, Mountain West Championships (22:32.0), NCAA Mountain Region Championships, and NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships … Set a new meet record at Nuttycombe Invitational (22:58.0) and earned National Athlete of the Week honors … won the Mountain West title for the third consecutive year, becoming the first MW athlete to do so … captured the NCAA national championship over 10,000 meters in 28:33.9 after narrowly finishing as runner-up the previous two seasons … Was named USTFCCCA Mountain Regional and National Athlete of the Year.

2024-25

Outdoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Competed in the 1,500, 5,000, and 10,000 meters throughout the season … set a personal-best 3:38.60 in the 1,500 at the Bryan Clay Invitational … won the 5,000 at Bryan Clay in 13:05.87, establishing an all-time collegiate outdoor record … placed 1st in the 10,000 at the Don Kirby Tailwind Twilight (28:34.95) with a conversion that ranked No. 1 in the nation … earned runner-up finishes in the 1,500 (3:41.07) and 5,000 (13:30.49) at the Mountain West Championships … advanced in both the 5,000 and 10,000 at the NCAA West First Round … finished as national runner-up in both the 5,000 (13:20.89) and the 10,000 (29:08.73) at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships, scoring 16 of New Mexico’s 31 points … ranked as the highest-scoring individual distance athlete at the meet as the Lobos matched their best team finish in program history with a 5th-place national finish.

Indoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Competed across the mile, 3,000, and 5,000 meters … won both the 3,000 (7:55.33) and 5,000 (13:33.43) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships … ran a collegiate-best 7:39.39 to win the 3,000 at the Husky Classic … posted a personal-best 3:57.09 in the mile at the Husky Classic … recorded a lifetime best of 13:04.92 in the 5,000 at the BU Terrier Classic … finished 2nd in the 5,000 (13:11.78) and 9th in the 3,000 (7:54.42) at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships.

Cross Country (Sophomore): Recorded a consistent championship-level season … won the Mountain West Cross Country Championship (23:20.7) … placed 1st at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals with an 8K time of 22:33.8 … finished 2nd at the Cowboy Jamboree … placed 2nd at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships (28:59.2) … concluded the season with a runner-up finish at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships despite losing a shoe halfway through the race, running 28:38.9 over 10,000 meters.

2023-24

Outdoor Track & Field (Freshman): NCAA CHAMPION in the 10,000m (28:07.82) … Ran the second-fastest 10,000m race in NCAA history in his first outdoor competition at Sound Running’s THE TEN (non-NCAA) on March 16 to secure the Olympic standard … That shattered the previous program record held by Ibraham Kivina-Juma (28:06.1) that had stood since 1984 … Ran the second-fastest 5,000m time in the nation at Bryan Clay on April 11 (13:13.34) to break another UNM program record … Won two more conference titles in the 1500m and 5,000m at MW Outdoor Championships to remain undefeated in conference championship races … Fastest finisher in the 10,000m (28:26.91) and 5,000m (13:44.50) across both NCAA Regional Preliminary meets to punch his ticket to NCAA Outdoor Championships in both … Rallied from a fall with two laps to go to, surging from fifth to first the rest of the way to win his first NCAA title with a 28:07.82 time.

Indoor Track & Field (Freshman): Shattered the UNM Indoor 5,000m record by nearly 18 seconds in the first indoor meet of his career at the Sharon Danville-Colyear Season Opener on Dec. 2 with a 13:14.85 finish that stands as the 11th-fastest in collegiate history … followed up with another school record in his second race, crossing the finish line as the second-fastest collegian in the 3,000m at the UW Indoor Preview on Jan. 13 in 7:45.61 … named MW Freshman / Athlete of the Week for his efforts … Swept the 5,000m and 3,000m titles at MW Indoor Championships in dominant fashion, breaking the MW Championship record in both … Became the first Lobo to finish as an All-American in both XC and Indoor Track since Luke Caldwell (2014) after following up with Indoor First Team All-American honors in the 5,000m (4th) and 3,000m (7th) in Boston … Named MW Indoor Track Athlete of the Year following the conclusion of the season.

Cross Country (Freshman): NCAA Individual Runner-up … NCAA Mountain Region Champion … USTFCCCA Mountain Region Athlete of the Year …. MW Individual Champion … MW Athlete of the Year … Won the Roy Griak Invitational Gold Men’s 8K in his collegiate debut, beating the rest of the field by 24 seconds (23:36.4) for the fastest time by a Roy Griak Invite finisher since 2011 and second-fastest all-time … Named MW Freshman & Athlete of the Week Twice and NCAA Athlete of the Week once … Led the Lobos men to a MW Championship and third-place finish at Mountain Regionals with individual wins in both … Followed up with the best finish by a UNM’s men’s runner at Nationals since 2004, finishing as a runner-up as the Lobo men finished 18th as a team.
