ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Lobo Football picked up an infusion of talent which was on display all Spring, and it will really be on display starting in September.  Now is the time to lock in the best seats in the house for the 2023 season, which is sure to be one to remember.

Included this year in your season ticket purchase is an exclusive limited-edition hat (June 30th purchase deadline, one gift per account). The 2023 exclusive gift will not be sold in The Lobo Den Store or available online at golobos.com/store.  It can only be obtained as a part of your season ticket purchase or renewal by June 30.

“2023 offers our fans a great chance to catch Lobo Football at an affordable price,” said Sr. Associate A.D. Will Price. “We are excited about all of the new additions to the Lobo Football experience added last year, from the new Howl Raisers Student Section in the end zone, to the updated and improved concessions areas, to our improved in-game entertainment.”

Price added, “Fans will definitely want to come out early to games this year to experience an enhanced, family-friendly Howl Zone, and to get great tailgate food from our numerous tailgate vendors.  This year, the stadium will feature new dynamic lights, an in-house DJ, and an enhanced run-out sequence, to name a few of the new features.”

The 2023 Lobos will feature a bold and dynamic new offense, led by new offensive coordinator Bryant Vincent, who as the interim head coach at UAB is 2022 led the Blazers to a victory in the Bahamas Bowl.  The Lobos, who return several key star players including all-conference performers Christian Washington (RB/KR), Donte Martin (CB) and Aaron Rodriguez (P) added several key pieces in recruiting from local high school stars to Division I starters in the transfer portal.

Best of all, head coach Danny Gonzales, himself an Albuquerque native having played for the Lobos and Valley High School, as kept up his commitment to keeping the best local stars at home.  New Mexico in 2023 will be the only FBS team with five Gatorade Players of the Year on the roster, and the five are the past five New Mexico Gatorade Players of the Year in Dorian Lewis (2018), Isaiah Chavez (2019), Luke Wysong (2021), Zach Vigil (2022) and Evan Wysong (2023).  UNM also has Arizona’s Ed Doherty Award winner for state Player of the Year in quarterback Devon Dampier.

The Lobos, who finished with a top-50 defense last year, its best in 14 years, will be led by Cleveland High grad Dion Hunter and the aforementioned Martin, who should break UNM’s record for pass break ups in a career.

Make plans and hurry to get your 2023 season tickets on April 17 to lock it in and be a part of Lobo Football!
