2018 JUNIOR SEASON
Named to the All-Mountain West First Team for the second year in a row … named to United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region Third Team … earned the All-Pacific Region Third Team honor… played and started in 18 games with four goals and three assists … her four goals were tied for third-most on the squad … had three assists on the season, one of which aided in the Lobos’ tie against Boise State on October 5 … shot the game-winning goal on September 7 versus UTEP … posted 11 points in total in 2018 … logged over 1,500 minutes on the field.
2017 SOPHOMORE SEASON
Played and started in all 22 games in the fall … named to Academic All-Mountain West Team … clocked 2101 minutes, the third highest on the team … scored 8 goals during the season, the second highest number of goals on the team … scored two game winning goals during the season, one on September 24 against Nevada and the other on October 22 against Wyoming … took 43 shots, the second most on the team, 20 of her 43 shots were on goal … scored on 18.6% of the shots she took … honored by being named to All-Mountain West First Team.
2016 FRESHMAN SEASON
Played in 18 games, made one start and logged 1,012 minutes (seventh on the team) … scored two goals while taking 22 shots with nine on goal … scored her first collegiate goal against Pacific on Aug. 28 … scored her other goal at Nevada on Oct. 7, which also happened to be her first game-winning goal … took a season-high four shots against Wyoming on Oct. 21.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Played high school soccer at Eldorado HS under head coach Paul Maestas, who is now her assistant coach at UNM … three-time All-New Mexico First Team honoree … helped her team win the state championship in 2013 and nearly repeated in 2015, with her team finishing as a state finalist … also a state champion and record holder in track and field.
PERSONAL
Enjoys running, photography, hiking, reading and backpacking … favorite food is pesto pasta … daughter of Jodie and Jason Hix … has two siblings, Jordan and Justin … father Jason played men’s soccer for the Lobos from 1992-94, ranking in the all-time top-5 in assists to this day.
