2024-25

Cross Country (Sophomore): Again played a major role in the Lobos’ success in cross country, placing 13th at the Cowboy Jamboree and 63rd at Wisconsin Pre-Nationals before claiming 4th at the Mountain West Championships to earn All-MW honors for the second time … Crossed 10th at the NCAA Mountain Regional before finishing 40th at the NCAA Championships, earning All-American honors again.

Indoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Ran 4:13.46 in the mile at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational (10th) … placed 11th in the 3000 at the Mountain West Championships (8:12.66) … finished 6th in the 5000 (13:59.66) … Other notable performances included 13:34.24 for 5000 at the Husky Classic and 13:37.40 at the Boston University Terrier Classic.

Outdoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Set a lifetime best of 28:05.98 in the 10,000 at Stanford … won the 3000m steeplechase at the Don Kirby Twilight in 9:08.56 to move into the Top 10 in program history after elevation conversions… placed 2nd in the 10,000 at the Mountain West Championships … qualified for the NCAA West First Round in both the 5,000m and 10,000m.

2023-24

Outdoor Track & Field (Freshman): During his first outdoor season, Kiplagat ran 3:50.49 in the 1500 to finish 3rd at the New Mexico Spring Invitational, 28:08.26 in the 10,000 at Stanford for 5th, and 13:44.64 in the 5,000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational for 22nd … also competed at the NCAA West First Round in both the 5000 (15:15.89, 43rd) and 10,000 meters (30:56.85, 43rd).

Indoor Track & Field (Freshman): Ran the second-fastest indoor 5,000m in program history with a 13:30.56 finish at the Sharon Danville-Colyear Season Opener on Dec. 2, one of two Lobos to finish under the prior school record on that day along with Habtom Samuel … followed with a 7:59.43 in the 3000 at the UW Indoor Preview and ran 13:26.56 for 5000 at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational to improve on his personal best … earned runner-up finishes in both the 3,000m and 5,000m at Mountain West Indoor Championships and placed 15th in the 5000 at the NCAA Indoor Championships.

Cross Country (Freshman): MW Freshman of the Year … All-Mountain Region … USTFCCCA All-American … Opened up the season with a fifth-place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational … Placed 18th at Nuttycombe Invitational … Finished as MW Runner-Up and was named MW Freshman of the Year as the Lobos won their first Men’s conference championship since 2014 … Finished fourth at Mountain Regionals as Lobo men finished third to punch their ticket to NCAA National Championships … Placed 33rd at NCAA Championship race (29:41.8) to earn All-American honors as the Lobo men finished 18th.

Ran personal bests in both 3000m (8:09.07) and 5000m (13:43.89) at Kipchoge Stadium in Eldoret, Kenya summer of 2023.
