2016 Indoors: Competed a two meets … Opened his season with an eighth-place leap of 50-6 3/4 (15.41m) at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational … Scored in both the triple jump and long jump at the Mountain West Championships, placing third in the triple jump (50-4 3/4) and fifth in the long jump (23-2 1/2)
2016 Outdoors: Saw action at six meets … Made his season debut at the Don Kirby Tailwind Open, winning the triple jump with a leap of 50-3 1/4 (15.32m) and taking fifth in the long jump with a leap of 23-7 1/2 (7.20m) … Placed fourth in the triple jump at the Sun Angel Classic, leaping 49-10 1/2 (15.20m) … Won three straight triple jump competitions, including the Bryan Clay Invitational (50-4 3/4 [15.36m]), the Payton Jordan Invitational (50-1 1/4 [15.27m]) and the Mountain West Championships (51-9 [15.77m]) … Also scored in the long jump at the MW Championships, leaping 24-2 1/4 (7.37m) for third place … Advanced to the opening round of the national championships in the triple jump, coming up just short of advancing as he placed 16th with a leap of 51-3 (15.62m)
