2012 XC: After running unattached at the first meet, competed for the Lobos at the final five meets of the season as one of the “core four” … Opened competition for the Lobos at the Notre Dame Invitational, taking 31st overall (and second on the team) with a 24:21 time over the 5-mile course … Claimed a 24:05 time at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, placing 61st overall and fourth on the team … Took bronze at the Mountain West Championships, as his 24:38.49 time took second on the team … Was UNM’s No. 2 runner at the NCAA Regional Championships, finishing the 10K course in 30:36 … Placed 133rd at the NCAA Championships, scoring as the No. 4 runner with a 31:00.4 time.
2013 Indoors: Competed at three meets … opened with a 12th-place mile at the New Mexico Invitational, finishing in 4:14.15* … ran a 8:17.93 time in the 3000-meter run at the Husky Classic, placing 47th … took fifth in the 5000 at the Mountain West Championships, clocking in at 14:35.81.
2013 Outdoors: Raced a five meets … clocked a 14:091.65 time in the 5000 at the Stanford Invitational to open the season, placing fourth in his heat … won the 1500 at the Air Force Triangular, finshing in 3:53.85* … tallied another fourth-place section finish at the Payton Jordan Invitational, finishing this 5K in 14:06.68 … scored in both the 5000 (14:36.14) and 10000 (30:39.52) at the Mountain West Championships, placing second in the 5K and fourth in the 10K … qualified to the NCAA West Preliminary championships, placing 24th in the 5000 with a time of 14:30.33.
