2015 XC: Competed twice after originally being slated to redshirt the 2015 season … first action was at the Mountain West Championships, where she finished 30th overall in 24:41.65 … followed that up with a 32nd-place performance at the NCAA Mountain Regionals, running 21:49.07 as UNM’s No. 6 runner.
2016 Indoors: Redshirted the indoor season … competed at two meets unattached … won the mile at the Cherry & Silver Invitational, running 4:56.20* … ran both the mile and 3,000-meter run at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational, clocking a second-place time of 9:37.62* in the 3K and a sixth-place time of 4:51.71* in the mile.
2016 Outdoors: Saw action at four meets … made her New Mexico debut at the Stanford Invitational, running a third-place time of 10:21.32 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase … took aim in the 5,000 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, running 16:27.45 to place fifth … lowered her steeplechase PR at the Payton Jordan Invitational, clocking in at 10:19.54 … capped her season with a scoring effort in the steeplechase at the Mountain West Championships, running 10:36.33 to place seventh.
HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered in track & cross country for just one year at La Cueva HS … 2014 New Mexico Gatorade Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year … named The Albuquerque Journal‘s Female Athlete of the Year for 2014-15 … raced to the 2015 Class 6A individual state championship, leading the Bears to the state title as a team … also won the Metro Championships, the Albuquerque Academy Invitational, the Cleveland Invitational, the Rio Rancho Jamboree, the La Cueva Invitational and the Lobo Invitational in 2014 … Finished 12th at the Nike Cross Nationals Southwest Regional championships … In track, won the 1600 eight times her senior year, including the APS Metro Championships, the District 2-6A Championships and the New Mexico 6A State Championships … along with her win in the 5000 at the state chammpionships, also won the 3,200 and 800 … she is believed to be the first female athlete from New Mexico to sweep all three distance races at state … in 2015, won all of the races 800-meter and up that she competed in.
