ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The Lobo men's tennis squad splits up for the weekend with five players headed north to the Bedford Cup, hosted by Air Force, and two players heading east to Tulsa for the ITA All-American Championships.
The Bedford Cup will see UNM's Connor Dils, Carl Labitzke, Juan Rodriguez, Andrew Lavine, and Nikhil Srivasta compete in singles and doubles over three days. Along with the Lobos, teams represented at the tournament include host Air Force, Denver, Idaho, Montana, Montana State, New Mexico State, and Weber State.
UNM would have had a sixth player in David Schwarc, but he, along with returning No. 1 player Dario Ciobotaru, was selected to play in the ITA All-American Championships, a week-long event that begins in Tulsa on Sunday.
The pair will learn of their draws on Friday, with early rounds beginning on Saturday, September 19.
