ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico Baseball plated five runs on six hits in the opening frame and didn’t look back as the Lobos (24-15-1, 9-5-1 MW) handled D-II CSU Pueblo (21-21, 13-11 RMAC) for an 11-3 midweek victory Tuesday night at Lobo Field.
UNM’s bats produced 15 hits in total, with Anthony Diaz (2-for-3, 2B, 3 R, 2 BB), Karsen Waslefsky (2-for-4, 2B x 2, 2 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB), Lenny Junior Ashby (2-for-3, 1 R), and Brodey Williams (2-for-3, HR, 1 R, 2 RBI) all finishing with pair of hits each. Waslefsky, Diaz, Luke Mansy (3 RBI), Gene Trujillo (1 RBI) and Lachlan Maude (1 RBI) all doubled and Williams homered for a total of seven extra base hits.

Diaz, Waslefsky and Trujillo all doubled in the opening frame as UNM jumped out to a 5-0 lead, while Williams' solo shot extended the lead to 10-2 and Maude's pinch-hit double in the bottom of the fifth scored UNM's 11th run.
On a bullpen day for UNM, RHP Ethin Woltz (3.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R / 2 ER, 0 BB, 3 K) earned his first win of the season to improve to 1-2 on the year after a strong start on the bump. Five other relievers saw action after him, with none of them surrendering an earned run – RHP Seth Edgerton (1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K), LHP Matt Romero (1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K), RHP Blake Lehmbeck (1.1 IP, 0 H, 1 R / 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K), RHP Tommy White (1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K) and LHP Matt Cornelius (1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K).
