ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The Lobos are back on the road, and they have a tough task ahead, taking on a pair of nationally-ranked teams that are tied for third place in the Mountain West in No. 42 San Diego State and No. 63 Grand Canyon.

The Lobos have split their past two conference weekends, dropping the Friday match before bouncing back for a 4-3 win on Sunday. Last weekend, the Lobos took a 4-3 win over San Jose State, coming back from a 3-2 deficit and getting tiebreaker wins from Marika Matsoukatidi and Lea Malazdra.

The Lobos have been led by Yu Yun "Kathy" Tsai, who is 7-3 in her last 10 matches, and Matsoukatidi, who has won three in a row, going a perfect 3-0 at No. 5 singles.

The No. 42 Aztecs are 11-3 on the season and 3-1 in the conference. The Aztecs had won nine straight before losing back-to-back matches, 4-1 to Boise State and 4-0 to No. 32 SMU.

Grand Canyon is 10-7 overall and also 3-2, and they are ranked No. 63. The 'Lopes also have a conference loss to Boise State. Of Grand Canyon's other six losses, five are to teams ranked in the Top 39 on the ITA rankings, including a loss to No. 2 Auburn.

The matches end a four-match road swing before UNM returns home for a pair of matches against Colorado State and Wyoming on Easter weekend.
