RENO, Nev.— The Lobos close out their road trip and the road portion of the Mountain West schedule at Nevada on Saturday at 2 p.m. MT on the Mountain West Network.
UNM enters the game 20-9, 12-6 in conference and has won its last three games and four of its last five. Nevada is 9-19 on the season, 5-13 in conference and is 2-3 in its last five games.
SERIES HISTORY
The Lobos are 18-8 all-time against Nevada, 9-4 in Reno. UNM has won the last two games in Reno, 69-59 and 79-71, and four of the last five games in Reno.
FAST START
UNM is outscoring opponents 458-364 (+94) in the first quarter, 506-442 (+64) in the second quarter and 964-806 (+158) in the first 20 minutes.
Further, UNM held Wyoming (5), Boise State (4), San José State (4), Nevada (9), UNLV (9), Utah State (7) and Air Force (8) to single digits in the first quarter and held San José State (8), Colorado State (2) and Wyoming (8) to single digits in the second quarter.
WIN THE QUARTER
The second quarter is UNM’s largest quarter for point production at 506 points, followed by the fourth quarter (492points), with the first quarter the largest margin of +94.
UNM has outscored its opponent in the first quarter 17 times, the second quarter in 13 games this season, the third quarter 16 times and the fourth quarter 17 times.
The Lobos have also held their opponent below 10 points in a quarter in 14 games this season, and six times, have held their opponent below 20 points at the half: 19 points (Wyoming), 18 points (Utah State), 12 points (San José State), 15 points (New Mexico State), 17 points (Chicago State) and 18 points (UT Martin).

ROAD TESTED
Following the win at USU, UNM is 8-4 on the road this season, and with the exception of the COVID year where the Lobos played all but two games on the road, are the most road wins since 2018-19 when the Lobos went 8-4.
The Lobos are averaging 66.3 points per game on the road compared to 63.6 points by opponents, with UNM shooting 40.1% and averaging 8.9 three-pointers per game. UNM is also outrebounding opponents on the road at 39.0 per game with a +5.6 rebounding margin.
Destinee Hooks is averaging 11.6 points per game and Cacia Antonio is averaging 9.9 points per game.
UNM has won four of its last five road games.
JESSIE’S DOUBLE-DOUBLES
Jessie Joaquim has recorded a team-high four double-doubles. In her first start as a Lobo against GCU, the forward led the team with 12 rebounds to go with 12 points. Joaquim has had a season-high 16 against San José State and has led the team in rebounds in 10 games and tied for the team high in one.
Joaquim’s first double-double came against Houston with 13 points and 12 rebounds off of the bench. In both of those double-doubles, Joaquim went 6-8 from the field. She added her third one against Air Force with 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds on 5-6 shooting, and followed that up the next game with 11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Lobo has started the last 11 games and has averaged 8.9 rebounds per game with six games of double-digit rebounds.
She leads the team with 196 rebounds (7.3 per game) with 83 offensive and 113 defensive rebounds and has recorded double-digit rebounds in nine games. Joaquim is fifth in the conference in rebounds per game and second in offensive rebounds per game (3.1).
In conference, the forward leads the team with 144 rebounds (averaging 8.0 rebounds per game) and is third in the conference in rebounding, as well as leads the conference in offensive rebounds (3.7).
SHARE THE WEALTH
In 18 of UNM’s wins, the Lobos have had three or more players score in double figures. Seven times (UT Martin, New Orleans, Chicago State, Houston, Boise State, at GCU and Air Force), the Lobos have had four players reach double digits. UNM had a season-best five reach double figures at San José State. Only at UNLV and against Colorado State has UNM had three players score in double figures and lost, and only at Air Force and against Utah State has UNM had two players finish in double figures and won.
Ten different Lobos have scored 10+ points in a game, led by Destinee Hooks with 23, followed by Cacia Antonio (13), Nayli Padilla (12) and Laila Abdurraqib (10). Alyssa Hargrove has scored in double figures in nine games, Joana Magalhães in eight games, Jessie Joaquim in four games, Drew Jordon in two games and Clarissa Craig and Kaia Foster once.
UNM has also had nine different leading scorers in a game with Hooks leading in eight games, Magalhães in five, Antonio in four, Padilla in four, Abdurraqib and Hargrove in two and Joaquim and Craig in one game each. Foster tied Antonio for the team lead in one game as did Hooks and Padilla.
The Lobos are 8-1 when Hargrove reaches double figures, 9-1 when Abdurraqib scores double figures, 10-3 when Antonio reaches double figures, 9-3 when Padilla does and 7-1 when Magalhães reaches double figures.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Nevada is coming off of a 49-41 win against San José State on Wednesday, snapping a three-game losing streak with losses against San Diego State, Colorado State and UNLV.
The Wolf Pack averages 56.6 points per game and allowing 61.0 points per game, led by 11.1 points per game from Skylar Durley. Durley also leads the team with 6.1 rebounds per game with Nevada averaging 36.3 rebounds per game and opponents averaging 35.1 rebounds per game.
Durley and Izzy Sullivan are the only players to start all 28 games and all 18 conference games.
Against conference opponents, Nevada is scoring 57.7 points per game and allowing 63.1 with Durley averaging 12.3 points per game.
