HOUSTON, Texas --- The University of New Mexico wrapped up its week in Houston at the Phil Hansel Invitational, and UNM picked up 10 more PRs to give UNM 29 on the week.
Alice English didn't have a PR, but her ninth-place finish, winning the B-Final with a 222.8 in the platform, was the highlight of the day. She missed qualifying for NCAA Zones by just 2.2 points. While English was winning the B-Final, Reed Moyer and Niah Morris each picked up PRs in the event.
Mollie Gorman twice PR'ed in the 200 breaststroke, and her teammate Emily Ford also PR'ed as each broke 2:20 for the first time in their careers. Kaylah Yazzie finished a terrific meet with two more PRs, in the 100 fly and the 200 back.
Liv Hann and Tahlia Micallef each had PRs in the 100 free, and Summer Wenger ended UNM's day with a PR in the 100 free on the front end of the 400-yard freestyle relay.
The Lobos will compete in the U.S. Open Long Course December 3-6 before finishing the fall season with meets at Nevada and UC Davis on December 19 and 20.
