ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Another road game, and another opportunity against a Big Ten team awaits Head Coach Jason Eck and the New Mexico Lobos. New Mexico travels to the City of Angels to take on UCLA in the Rose Bowl on Friday at 8 pm Mountain Time, 7 pm Pacific.

The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network with Carlo Jimenez, Brook Vereen, and Drea Avant on the call. Fans can listen to Voice of the Lobos Robert Portnoy with DonTrell Moore on the Lobo Radio Network, as well as Sirius/XM 382.

Last week, New Mexico took down Idaho State 32-22 with a big fourth quarter, scoring the final 15 points of the game. The key to the game came in the red zone, where New Mexico scored 25 points in four trips (UNM had a fifth trip in which they took a knee) and Idaho State scored just 12 on its four visits to the red zone.  Scottre Humphrey rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns, and Dorian Thomas had five catches for 56 yards.  Additionally, Damon Bankston recorded 166 yards of all-purpose yardage to lead UNM, and linebacker Jaxton Eck recorded a career-high 15 tackles.

For the Bruins, UCLA is coming off a 30-23 loss at UNLV, a game in which UCLA nearly came back from a 23-0 deficit, throwing a late interception in UNLV territory. The big name for UCLA is quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who has thrown for 391 yards and a pair of touchdowns and rushed for 106 and another score. UNLV's other game on the season was a 43-10 loss to Utah, the nation's No. 20 team. For New Mexico, this will be the second game of the season against a Big Ten opponent, as UNM lost to No. 14 Michigan 34-17 in the season opener.

The game will mark just the second meeting between the two teams, with the first coming in the 2002 Las Vegas Bowl, which was on Christmas Day. UCLA secured a 27-13 win in a historic game, as Katie Hnida attempted an extra point, making her the first woman to play in an FBS game, in a bowl game, and in a game with a Power 5 opponent.
