Men’s Golf Hosts Tucker Intercollegiate Friday and Saturday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team will play its home event of the 2024-25 season on Friday and Saturday as it hosts the 69th William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The event at the 7,546-yard, par-72 UNM Championship Course is free for spectators to attend.

The first two rounds of the tournament will be played on Friday, beginning with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. The final round will be Saturday, starting with a 7:45 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.

This year’s tournament features players from 17 schools, including nine that competed in last year’s NCAA Regionals. The Lobos are the reigning champion at the event and are joined in this year’s field by Arkansas State, Colorado, Eastern Michigan, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, New Mexico State, Oral Roberts, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Stetson, UNLV, USC and UTEP.

The Lobos will feature a lineup of Mesa Falleur, Alvaro Portillo, Carson Herron, Wyatt Provence and Oliver Cage. David Davila, Luis Buech, Clark Sonnenberg, Valentin Luna and Connor Adams will compete as individuals.

The William H. Tucker Intercollegiate dates back to 1955 when the Lobos won the inaugural event. New Mexico has won the event 15 times, including last season.
