New Mexico hosts Utah State on a Black Friday special at University Stadium. The game is at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 24 and the Lobos will be honoring four seniors, Teedo Stafford, Jeremiah Hixon, Dylan Hopkins and Donte Martin, that will be playing in their final home games of their careers.
The Lobos are coming off a 25-17 win at Fresno State, the programs’ first win there since 1994. UNM spoiled Fresno State’s Mountain West title hopes last week, and will now try to spoil Utah State’s bowl hopes, as the Aggies must win in order to qualify. A Lobo win would give UNM five wins on the season, tying them with Utah State, and it’s the most wins since 2016 when UNM went 9-4 in winning the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
A win would also end UNM’s season at 3-5 in the conference, its most league wins since that same 2016 season in which UNM went 6-2 in winning a share of the Mountain Division championship.
