ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The Lobos return to the road to San Diego for a three-game series against San Diego State starting on Friday. All three games will be streamed on the Mountain West Network with live stats available.

UNM enters the weekend after splitting its last series with Colorado State and is coming off of a 12-4 win in six innings.

The Aztecs enter the series 27-12, 11-5 MW (second in the MW) and are 8-2 in their last 10 games. SDSU split its recent series with Nevada, swept UNLV (2-0) and SJSU (3-0), won the series with Utah State (2-1) and Fresno State (2-1) and lost the series with CSU (1-2). SDSU is second in the MW in batting average (.305), stolen bases (62) and hits (314) and fourth in runs scored (204). The Aztecs have the second-fewest strikeouts at 152. In conference games, the Aztecs are hitting .305 with 126 hits and 99 runs. In the circle, the Aztecs have a 3.31 ERA against MW opponents, allowing 99 hits, 57 runs, and 40 walks to 102 strikeouts.

BY THE NUMBERS
On the season, UNM is 12-2 when scoring first and 14-2 when scoring in the 1st inning. The Lobos are 12-1 when leading after the 4th, 10-1 when leading after the 5th and 11-0 when leading after the 6th.

The Lobos have scored 10+ runs in six games this season with a season-high 15 runs and a season-high 18 hits in game 3 at Utah State. UNM is 5-1 when scoring 10+ runs.

On the season, UNM leads the MW in hits (329) and triples (12) and is third in total bases (468). UNM also leads in fielding double plays (19).

UNM is 22nd in the NCAA in double plays per game (0.45), 33rd in triples per game (.29), 51st in batting average (.298), 80th in on-base percentage (.370) and 91st in slugging percentage (.424).

Rachael Hathoot leads the MW in triples (6), is second in the MW in batting average (.397), tied for third in hits (48), sixth in total bases (76) seventh in on-bse percentage (.459) and ninth in slugging percentage (.628). Hathoot is one of two Lobos in the top 10 in batting average with Peyton Robinson eighth at .353. Keyannah Chavez is 10th in on-base percentage (.432) and tied for seventh in runs scored (32), while Robinson is tied for fifth in hits with 47 and leads in sac bunts at nine. Ashley Archuleta is tied for second in triples with four.

Amber Linton leads the MW in batters struck out (138), 17 more than the 2nd-highest pitcher, batters struck out looking (41) and innings pitched (129.0). She is tied in wins (10).

Amber Linton is 35th in the NCAA in strikeouts. Rachael Hathoot is seventh in the NCAA in triples, 13th in triples per game (0.15), 68th in batting average and 82nd in hits. Peyton Robinson is 27th in sac bunts per game (0.21) and Ashley Archuleta is 28th in triples.

BREAK IT OPEN
Six times this season the Lobos have scored five or more runs in an inning with two of them against Utah State. Three of the times came in the 3rd inning.

The eight runs scored in the 3rd inning of the third game at Utah State was the most runs scored in an inning this season, coming off of eight hits.

The Lobos scored seven runs in the 3rd inning of Sunday’s game against Colorado State.

The Lobos scored five runs in the sixth inning against Utah State to take the lead after trailing 13-10. UNM also scored seven runs in the 3rd inning against Buffalo on Feb. 17, six runs in the first inning of the season opener at Nicholls and five runs in the fifth inning against NMSU on March 28.

STEAL YOUR BASE
The Lobos are 37-40 in stolen bases this season after starting 31-31 with 11 players having at least one stolen base.

Peyton Robinson leads with 14 stolen bases, followed by eight from Keyannah Chavez, five from Rachael Hathoot and two for Olivia Birkinshaw and Emma Bramson. Six players (Chloe Yeatts, Loran Walker, Ashley Archuleta, Janae Cameron, Evany Gonzalez and Grace Rana) have one.

UNM had four stolen bases in each of the games against Cal State Bakersfield and 25 games with a stolen base, including multiple stolen bases in seven games.

The Lobos have surpassed their stolen bases to date than the season total in each of the last nine years and in 11 of the last 12 years.

MIXING UP THE LINEUP
UNM has used 37 different lineup combinations this season, using only the same batting order in the first two games, the same lineup in both games on March 11 against Buffalo and Texas Tech and the same lineup in a four-game stretch – the final two games against the Spartans, the game against NMSU and the first game at Fresno State.

The Lobos have had three different players hit leadoff, five different players hit second, eight different players hit third, eight different players in the cleanup spot, eight different players hit fifth, 11 different players hit sixth, 11 different players hit seventh, 10 different players hit eighth and six different players hit ninth.

Peyton Robinson has hit leadoff in 38 games, with Keyannah Chavez second in 18 games and Ashley Archuleta second in 14 games, Rachael Hathoot third in 26 games but first in the last three games, and Lauren Garcia has hit in the cleanup spot in 20 games. Emma Bramson has hit fifth in 12 games with Chavez hitting fifth in three of the last four games, Chloe Yeatts has hit sixth in 12 games, Maddie Boldt seventh in 16 games and eighth in 14 games and Jenna Trim ninth in 16 games.

When it comes to the lineup per position, the Lobos have had just three players start all 42 games at the same position: Rachael Hathoot (shortstop), Keyannah Chavez (left) and Peyton Robinson (center).

Five different players have started at catcher, six different players have started at first, three different players have started at third and in right and seven different players have been the DP.

The Lobos are also versatile in their positions as Emma Bramson has started 31 games at third and five at second and Loran Walker has started six games at third, four at catcher and one game at first. Olivia Birkinshaw has played three games in right field, three as the designated player, two games at first and five games at third and Chloe Yeatts has started at catcher in 29 games, as the designated player in six and at first in one game.

LOBOS IN THE OUTFIELD
The Lobos returned outfielder Peyton Robinson, who has played in 141 games with 140 starts in her three years at UNM and started all 53 games in left last season.

The trio (Chavez, Robinson and Boldt) have led the Lobos at the plate, with Robinson second and Chavez third in batting average and hits and third and fifth in total bases, and second (Chavez) and third (Robinson) in on-base percentage. Chavez leads in runs scored with 32 and tied for the team high in doubles (7) with Robinson third in runs scored at 25.

Boldt is second on the team in slugging percentage (.591) but leads in home runs (8), including a grand slam against Utah State.  Boldt is second in total bases (52) and third in walks (12) and RBI (25).
