ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Lobos close out the week on the road at MW-leader UNLV for a Saturday afternoon match set for 1 p.m. PT/ 2 p.m. MT.

The match will be streamed on the Mountain West Network with live stats available.

UNM last played on Tuesday at Air Force, falling in five (17-25, 25-17, 19-25, 25-19, 9-15) after forcing the fifth set.

Uxue Guereca produced another solid stat line with a balanced 19 kills (a match high) and 18 digs (a team high), with Kaitlynn Biassou joining her in double figures with 12 kills. Tuesday was the sixth-straight match of Guereca finishing in double figures in kills and the third straight for Biassou. Melissa Walden added another double-double for the Lobos with 20 assists and 12 digs and Alena Moldan was the third UNM player in double-digit digs at 16 digs. Lea Zurlinden led with seven total blocks, followed closely by Avital Jaloba’s six total blocks, two of which were solo, and Guereca with five.

New Mexico still leads the conference in digs per set at 16.39, although UNLV is second at 15.04, and both UNLV and UNM are tied in opponent hitting percentage at .180 in conference matches.

Biassou continues to lead the MW in kills (201) and kills per set (3.94) and is second in points (225.5) and points per set (4.46). Jaloba now leads in blocks per set with 1.33 and has a conference-high 68 total blocks (61 assisted and seven solo). Moldan is second in the conference in digs per set at 4.14 in conference matches and has 211 digs.

UNLV is 21-3 on the season and 12-1 in conference, and enter the week having won its last 12 matches.

Isabel Martin leads the Rebels in kills with 330, followed by Gabrielle Arretche-Ramos at 317. Jhenna Gabriel has accounted for 890 of UNLV’s 1107 assists and is averaging 10.47 assists per set.

Maya Sands leads the Rebels in service aces with 23 and in digs at 319 (3.67 per set). The Rebels have three players with 60-plus total blocks, led by Jordyn Freeman (69), Chloe Thomas (62) and Dakota Quinlan (60).

Against MW opponents, UNLV is second in hitting percentage (.252), assists per set (12.52), and kills per set (13.65), and in digs per set. Gabriel leads in assists per set (10.69) and Arretche-Ramos is third in kills per set (3.73).

Following Saturday’s match, the Lobos remain on the road for matches at Colorado State and Wyoming.
