ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s basketball team looks to extend its winning streak on Thursday night when it hosts Colorado State in a rescheduled matchup. Tipoff at The Pit is 7:00 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and the Lobo Radio Network.

The game was originally scheduled for Dec. 28, but the contest was rescheduled due to COVID concerns within the Rams’ program at that time. Fans should use their Colorado State tickets and parking passes with the original date (Dec. 28) for admission on Thursday.

Fans attending the game are reminded of the health and safety protocols at The Pit. Fans 12 and over must show proof of vaccination or show proof of a negative COVID test in order to enter the arena. Complete information on the policy is available at GoLobos.com/safe.

Thursday is also Lobos Give Day, the 24-hour event is aimed to connect and rally the nationwide Lobo support and community for UNM athletics and the current generation of Lobo student-athletes. Thursday’s game caps the event with the opportunity for fans at the game to participate in the event while at The Pit.

The Lobos (11-14, 3-8) enter the game on a three-game win streak after Tuesday’s 75-66 upset of No. 22 Wyoming at The Pit. Jaelen House led the Lobos with 34 points against the Cowboys and has scored 76 over the last two conference games, the most by a Mountain West player in consecutive conference games since 2011 (BYU’s Jimmer Fredette).

Colorado State (20-3, 10-3) is receiving votes in both the AP and coaches polls after winning their last four games. The Rams are led by David Roddy, who is third in the conference in scoring at 19.3 points per game.

It is the second meeting of the season between the teams as the then-No. 23 Rams held off the Lobos 80-74 in Fort Collins on Jan. 19. The Rams have won the last three meetings, all at Moby Arena, while the Lobos have won the last two and 12 of the last 13 meetings in Albuquerque.

The Lobos will hit the road after Thursday for their next two games, visiting San Jose State on Sunday and Utah State on Tuesday.
