ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s basketball team concludes a two-game homestand as it hosts San Josè State on Friday night. Tipoff at The Pit is 7:00 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and the Lobo Radio Network.
Fans attending the game are reminded of the health and safety protocols at The Pit. Fans 12 and over must show proof of vaccination or show proof of a negative COVID test in order to enter the arena. Complete information on the policy is available at GoLobos.com/safe.
The first 500 fans at The Pit will receive a rally towel, compliments of New Mexico Mutual. Fans can also take advantage of a $5 Draft Beer promotion (half-off) on Bud Light and Michelob available ONLY at Stand J (Grab N go area on the on the SE of the arena).
The Lobos (7-13, 0-7) are looking for their first conference win of the season, as six of their seven Mountain West losses have been by single-digits. New Mexico is coming off a 65-60 loss to Fresno State on Tuesday at The Pit. UNM trailed by 17 early in the second half before getting within two points late in the game. Jamal Mashburn, Jr. leads the Lobos in scoring at 17.8 points per game.
San Josè State (7-11, 0-6) is coming off a 63-53 home loss to Air Force on Tuesday. Omari Moore leads the Spartans in scoring at 13.9 points per game.
The Lobos will hit the road next week to visit San Diego State on Monday and Air Force on Saturday.
