ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Lobo football team had a nice crowd on hand for its first Saturday practice and scrimmage of spring camp.  The team was in full pads for the first time during the campaign, and the team had plenty of action over the 26-period practice.  UNM used three quarterbacks with Brandt Hughes still not 100% full go for the scrimmage.  The defense had a solid day with both Michael LoVett III and Antonio Hunt picking off a pair of passes.  Jordan Kress hauled in a deep ball from Trae Hall for a touchdown, and Tevaka Tuioti showed some great hustle, racing downfield after an interception and diving into a pile to come out with an offensive fumble recovery.

The team will have Sunday off before returning for four days of practice next week, all at 9:45 am.  The only off day before Spring Break will be on Wednesday.
