ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Lobo football team has its first practice of the spring in shells, wearing silver helmets and shoulder pads. It was practice No. 3 of 15 in the spring. The crisp two-hour practice was punctuated by plenty of thud drills and a few amazing grabs (Jordan Kress and Elijah Lilly had two of the nicer catches, and Marquae Kirkendoll, a redshirt freshman, had a memorable pick, cutting in front of a receiver for what would have been a touchdown.

The Lobos will practice on Saturday afternoon starting at noon inside of Dreamstyle Stadium. Fans can enjoy the afternoon in the stands, with parking available in the Stadium West lot.
