The Lobos will take on the Wyoming Cowboys at 2 p.m. in Laramie on AT&T SportsNet.

The Lobos (8-2, 1-0 MW)) enter Saturday’s game having racked up eight victories so far this season, marking the fastest Lobo squad to do so since the 2012-13 season when UNM went 29-6 overall (13-3 MW) and finished MW Regular Season and Tournament Champions. That season, the squad reached eight wins by Dec. 1 as part of a 12-win streak through Dec. 19.

Wyoming (3-6, 0-1 MW) enters Saturday riding a three-game skid including its most recent loss in its conference opener against Air Force in Laramie. Air Force claimed an 86-77 victory on the back of 17 3-pointers.

UNM is led by three scorers averaging in double figures on the season including redshirt-seniors JaQuan Lyle (18.2) and Carlton Bragg Jr. (12.4) along with junior Makuach Maluach (10.0). Bragg also leads the Lobos in rebounds with 9.5 per contest.

Wyoming has just one player averaging scoring in double figures, redshirt-sophomore Hunter Maldonado (15.8). He also leads the team in rebounds with 5.6 per game.
