It wasn’t long before Perrin clinched the final singles point that would claim the 4-1 victory for the Lobos by defeating Platzceck 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 4 position.

“Great road win,” head coach Ben Dunbar said. “Any time you win in the MWC on the road in two hours, you have played well. Last time out at Nevada, our 1, 2, 3’s played great. They did well again today but this one goes to our 4, 5, and 6’s who played great today. The clinch from Freshman Lawrence Perrin was impressive. This win will build some confidence and we are looking forward to playing in Logan on Sunday. This is the best part of the year and our guys are really showing some growth.”

Lobos advance to 9-10 overall, and 2-1 in the Mountain West, while Boise State drops to 4-19 overall and 1-2 in the Mountain West.

The team travels to Logan, Utah on Sunday, Apr. 9 to face the No. 39 Aggies of Utah State at 1:30 p.m. MT. Follow the team on Facebook and Twitter for updates throughout the weekend.

Lobos host their last two home matches of the season next weekend against UNLV on Friday, Apr. 14 and San Diego State on Sunday, Apr. 16.
