SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Karoline Søvik Myklebust was named the RMISA Alpine Women’s Skier of the Week after coming in third and fourth place at the UAA Invitational.  Myklebust becomes UNM’s third RMISA honoree this season, joining Nordic Krista Niiranen and alpine skier Vegard Busengdal

Myklebust’s big weekend in Alaska has UNM fifth at the Seawolf Invitational and third at the UAA Invitational.   Myklebust’s third place finish in the giant slalom was UNM’s fifth podium of the weekend and the 12th of the season, topping last year’s total of 10.

Now the Lobo Nordic squads will head to Alaska for the back half of both meets.  The meets will resume on Monday with the Seawolf Invitational before the UAA Invitational on the weekend.  The Seawolf Invitational features two newer events as Monday will feature freestyle sprints, and then Tuesday will be a mixed gender relay.
